Academics
Lower School
In elementary school, Covenant Christian School encourages students to become better thinkers, readers, writers, and problem solvers. Here the groundwork for a Biblical worldview is laid. Emphasis is placed on preparing the students for the next educational level by challenging critical and analytical thinking skills during the elementary years.

Letter from Principal
Welcome to Covenant Christian School!
I am Brandy Patrick, and it is my honor to serve as the principal of Covenant Christian School. I hold a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Athens State University and a Master’s in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. With 16 years of experience in education, including six years teaching in North Carolina public schools and over a decade at Covenant, I have been blessed to witness firsthand the impact of a Christ-centered education.
Since joining Covenant in 2012, I have had the privilege of serving as a 5th-grade teacher for ten years, curriculum coordinator for four years, and now, I lead as the Principal and Senior Success. My journey here has been shaped by a deep commitment to nurturing both the academic and spiritual growth of our students.
My husband, John, and I live on a farm in Cherokee, and we are blessed with two wonderful children. Our son, Isaiah, graduated as valedictorian in 2024, and our daughter, Naomi, is currently in 5th grade.
At Covenant Christian School, our mission is to provide an education that nurtures both the mind and spirit of each child. Our carefully selected curriculum meets the highest academic standards while remaining deeply rooted in Christian values. Our dedicated and passionate teachers are central to this mission, creating an enriching learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. Through personalized instruction and a nurturing atmosphere, our teachers help students achieve their full academic potential while guiding their spiritual growth.
In addition to our core curriculum, we offer a variety of enrichment activities for our elementary students, including art, music, library, computer, elementary sports, physical education, Latin for 3rd-4th grade, and 4-H for 4th-6th grade. Our upper school provides numerous extracurricular opportunities, such as the robotics team, Key Club, Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, Student Council, FCA, Praise and Worship Team, and a variety of sports. These programs ensure a well-rounded education, encouraging creativity, physical health, leadership, and a love for learning in all its forms.
At Covenant Christian School, we are committed to partnering with you in the education and spiritual development of your child. Together, we will help our students grow into knowledgeable, faithful, and compassionate individuals.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of being part of your child’s educational and spiritual journey. We look forward to a fruitful and inspiring school year.
In His Service,
Brandy Patrick
